A Canadian tourist visa is an official document issued by a Canadian visa office that is attached to your passport. Single entry visa: Single entry visas are granted for a maximum period of 6 months

If you are currently in Canada and wish to stay longer than your visa expiration date, you can apply for an extension.
You will need to fill out an IMM form 5708 with the additional application.
Visitor visa application procedure (temporary residence visa - TRV):
Step 1: Choose an online or offline application.
Step 2: Fill in a visa application form with the required information and documents.
Step 3: Pay the visa processing fee by certified check or cashier's check.
Step 4: Visit the nearest Canadian visa application center with your passport, photos, and other documents.
Step 5: You need to provide your fingerprint and photo (biometrics)
Step 6: Submit the visa application form to the Canada Visa Application Center.
Step 7: Get the receipt from the application center containing the unique tracking number.
Step 8: tracks your online application under this number.
Things to note:
Applying for a visitor visa costs CAD 100 (approximately INR 5,200) and the biometric fee is CAN $ 85 (approximately INR 4,400).
To extend your stay as a visitor, you need to pay a fee of C $ 100 or Rs 5532.73 per person. To restore your visitor status, you need to pay a visa fee of C $ 200 or Rs 11065.45.
The processing time for a tourist visa for Canada is 15 days if the documentation is done correctly. Business visas take 1 to 6 weeks. A temporary residency visa application takes 16-20 days to process.
